One day John was heading to work but he could not even get out of his drive because  there

was too much traffic in the road because he had a massive  meeting  that his life depended

on  and he had to be here on time. He left early so he could get some food on the way. He had 

to be there at 8:30 in the morning or he would be fired . he was going to stop at MacDonald, but he had two children and he had the job of dropping

then  off to school because his wife Polly was sick in  the hospital with stage stage 4 cancer

so this journey was hard for him to do  but he tried. he was able to drop his children off

then on his way to MacDonald he got stuck in

traffic and  its took him 30 minutes to get MacDonald  after all that he had was 30 minutes to get to his meeting so he was too late two hours later he showed up at  his  work and his boss went straight up to him . he yelled ,YOU’RE HATE! YOU’RE FRIED!He kicked him out . john  cried on this way top see his wife. however , he came up with an idea that he could make a  flying car to get to places faster and skip over traffic.

 Suddenly he ended up in a 3 way crash on his way home; the reason why was

he was too

busy crying because he lost his job  and an opportunity  that could have changed his life ,

but now  he lost everything. Everything has disappeared ,

he thought . “It was all gone”. The next  morning  John  woke  up in hospital. He was so

confused. Why was he in the hospital?

He had forgotten what had happened yesterday ?  However he was too focused  on

his wife still later that day once he was let go from the hospital he started

building  his invention ,”The flying  car. He failed many times he was on the

edge of giving up  but he kept trying  and

trying till he made it.its  took him a number of weeks to 

finish his flying car but once he made his first prototype, he flew it to get to the hospital and

visit his wife.

Then he heard  that she could not get any better  and that she only had two weeks

to live.

He  was very sad because she was  the only one could make him happy .

he would not go to sleep until he was finished he had one nights sleep and woke up

and in the car he looked down and you would not believe

how much traffic he was glad he made  the  invention !

He made it to the hospital but the nurse stopped him and said

“ she only has one  day to live”he ran to her room and started crying.

HE felt like he could die of crying.

She said,”Don’t worry i will always be with you and the kids.I will be waiting for you.”

They soon fell  asleep.a couple of hours later he woke up to a beeb!

He soon realised that his wife has passed and he started to cry but

he was happy for her

she wasn't in pain anymore and she was free and less painful but he was

grateful for having her in his life

jelly babies osmosis

  jelly babies osmosis 

last week we did jelly babies osmosis I did it in a pair of 3 Erin, me and Ayla  , we put them in three solutions  sugar water ,salt water , normal water. we took 2 colours yellow and pink  and we took 4 of those colour and put them in 3 petri dishes   and left them for 25 hours and about 30 minutes , we had 2 in sugar  water ,2 in  salt water and 2 in warm water .

Hypothesis : What will happen to the jelly babies in each solution?

Ayla : I think they will all expand but the water one will have the least growth and

the salt will have the most.

Erin : I think they will grow bigger because the sugar/water/salt will get into the jelly babies will soak

into the jelly. I also think that the sugar and salt will grow the biggest because of the substance that

goes into it. 

Maddison : I think they will grow but salt will be the smallest and sugar would be the

biggest and they would dissolve in the bath if salt,sugar,water ,i feel like the the jelly babies that go in

salt water will dissolve 

The results were :

The salt one was falling apart when we moved it.

The sugar one felt the hardest and most put together but still a bit moshed.

The water one fell apart but not as much as the salt one.

Bunsen flames/ boiling water

yesterday we were boiling water with bunsen burners we had to boil  water for 5 minutes with the safety flame and the roaring blue flame but firs we had to set up the equipment the bunsen burner , tripod , rake , beaker .

their are two  types of flames the roaring blue flame and the safety flame 

results we 20 and ended up with 50 with the safety flame 

and with the roaring blue flame started wtih 20 ended up with 80

No eating or drinking 

No running in the lab

Have your hair tied 

Tell the teacher when you have spilt something

Ask the teacher before you through something the bin (aka glass )

Wear safety goggles

Covered shoes

Bags under the desk 

Don't leave your experiment alone 

Don't go in the lab without a teacher

                                How to light a bunsen burner:

1.get all you equipment (safety goggles, bunsen burning)

2.connect your tube to your gas hose

3. make sure your air hole is closed

4.connect the tube to the gas tap

5.light your match and turn you gas  on 

                                            

 

 

SLJ summer foods

 hi, it's madds this is another summer learning journey task done this one was where we had to make a  google drawing of 3 summer foods that the family-like.  I choose strawberries, icecream and fish an chips most of these things I have on the beach in summer but anyway  here is the google drawing

 hi its madds and this is day 6 of the summer learning journey today our task was to make a UV indicator to hang up somewhere to know when sunscreen needed and what I did to make mine I used paper color markers and a peg what I'm doing to let you guys understand more so I'm going to hang it up on the wall and when I wake up I will check the UV index and I will move it to low, MOD, high, very high or extreme and that will tell my family if they need sunscreen outside. I will put in a couple of photos.

SLJ rock hold

 hi its madds and this is day 5 of the summer learning journey now this won was fun and good because I have a lot of rocks outside so for this task we had to build a lab and I but 3 massive rocks with cardboard and paper so I buildt the walls with paper and it held for 3 hours I timed this and it was impressive but I had to take it down because I went to bed and if it fell that would not  be good  but I did a video
