SLJ day 4 paper work

  hi, its madds I am sorry that I have been keeping up but I can manage so I did this task a little while ago but this was a fun activity since I love making things but if you are in the summer learning journey or not I would try this anyway because it's fun and it is good when your board any way I have been working hard on this one because it was a lot of fails but the more you practice you will get better because it took me a while to get it right It will also help to slow down the video so you can follow the steps a little better and you could put it at your paste. I hope you try this and enjoy it

this day 3 of the summer learning journey and this task we had to learn Maori weather so we had to copy his slide show and do some task moari weather tasks like making a sentence using moari words  it was really fun to do also because I am moari and its fun to learn new things in a different language I hope I did it right

this is my second learning journey task this was fun we had to make a scene or an insect I did both the scene I did was a park  scene and i made a bug too but i dont know the name i did a park beause summer we always go to the park for a picnic

My memories from this year I have so many things to be grateful for like having 3 great amazing teachers Mrs Lee, Miss Bunting and Mr Williams. I forgot one other person, Mrs T. 

This  year I have made many  new friends I will never forget is one of the amazing  memories I had made this year, but one of the big memories is the big day in , with fun activities like the obstacle,bikerama .

There are many memories that I could share but it would be too long. This being my last year . it has been the best last year of primary school.leavers dinner was amazing . Being a house leader has been my dream since year 3, and my dream came true this year of becoming a house leader this year. It's sad that I have to leave this school but I will remember all the memories that I have made here. Wait I'm going to tell you one more memory  before I leave the school , is kapa haka  and the performance that paid off with all the hard work practicing. I'm going to say my last good bye to this school and continue on with my journey to intermediate 

 

tsunami explanation writing

so this week we have been learning about explanation writing 

so we had to choose out of some explanation stories I chose and explanation writing about tsunamis so I have spent some time over the week on making an explanation  writing about tsunamis  

the purpose of this text is to help people understand the steps of tsunamis and help them 

also so they know signs of a tsunami coming

What causes a tsunami? 

We all need to know about tsunamis and how they are caused, we also need to know signs

that a tsunami is coming. Tsunamis aren't just a wave it's a massive wave that could ruin

our city.  One time there was a tsunami 50 meters high, fun fact tsunamis can go up 50km/h

which’s as fast as a car goes around the city. This can be caused by an earthquake volcanic

eruption.  

The first sign of a tsunami is coming is when animals like birds aren't around and

the tide is going in that’s when you should leave and not stay and watch it form and you will

get an early deduction system.

 The second step is when the wave starts to form and come over, the back of the wave

\is way faster than the front, then it hits the coast you may want to go somewhere high

still don’t stand there and watch it’s really dangerous you will get dragged down to the

bottom.  

The third step is where it drags back down into the deep sea end and stops 

And we are all safe again. We want to stay up high until it's finished so you are safe.

The average height can be between  30 meters or 3 meters so stay up high until it’s

finished.

So tsunamis are not as safe as you thought. We need to get high and leave,

if you see a sign that a tsunami is coming leave as soon as possible.
